PEDROSA & RODRIGUES, S.A.was founded in June,1982 and began its activity producing basic knit garments, in a business model based on outsourcing.

In 1986, our business model underwent a significant alteration that turned its activity into a ‘vertical model’, that is, we began supplying our clients with the finished product.

In 1987, the company moved to new premises, and integrated some of the time’s most advanced technologies, such as a CAD system that allowed for extra flexibility and accuracy in the modelling process. This was only the beginning of the constant modernization process that we still carry out today.

In order to give continuity to this process, we acquired a Production Management system (Gerber Mover), which automatically directs the garment components onto a specific operator, on a previously programmed trajectory. Additionally, we integrated an automatic cutting system (CAM), as well as a system of communication and global order management that structures every step of the factory’s working process. Simultaneously, we continuously sought ways to improve and update our equipment, premises, internal processes and staff qualification.

Strongly supportive of partnerships, Pedrosa and Rodrigues works closely with agents, schools, universities and a variety of associations, among others. We welcome internship programmes and company visits, which often prove to be inspiring experiences for individuals and other companies located in the region.

Throughout three decades, we have dedicated ourselves to making Pedrosa & Rodrigues a modern and efficient company, one that is consistently ready to respond to our clients’ requirements. Because of the frequent challenging nature of these requirements, we often pioneer techniques which make us very proud of taking part in the creation of new, sophisticated and truly innovative products.

We are, however, aware of the textiles market’s fluctuations, but are confident that our 30 years’ worth of experience have given us technical expertise and a strong sense of business strategy necessary to respond to challenges yet to come.
